Local authorities work with BSR in multi-disciplinary teams to fulfil their legal duties in assisting the regulation of higher-risk buildings and higher-risk building work.

This guidance tells local authorities what they must do under the provisions of section 13 of the Building Safety Act 2022. This includes:

what BSR can request

what experience and level of competence they should provide, and when
